Ray E. Sheldon, 85, passed away November 13, 2019. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, to the late Walter and Edith Sheldon, Ray split his adventurous life between the rolling hills of Nebraska and the lake filled wilderness of Arkansas.
Known as someone who was always planning his next adventure-whether it was a fishing trip, a stock car race, making wooden toys for his children, or building his own home, Ray was always occupied and generally never still. His industrious, enthusiastic charm made him a favored employee at Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Lincoln, Nebraska for more than 36 years.
Ray’s sixty-six year honeymoon with his sweetheart, Margie Drumm Sheldon, began with a simple wedding ceremony on her parents’ front porch. They welcomed children Mark, Karen, Diana, Paul, Cindy, Brenda, and David, as well as, many grandchildren, and many more great grandchildren.
Ray was predeceased by his daughter, Karen, but will be missed greatly by the family who continue their own adventures.
