Dorthy McCarthy

Dorthy loved her family deeply; she had a way of always making people feel special.

In Dorthy’s early years she enjoyed playing golf and traveling the world with Vernon, her husband.

Dorthy attended St. Mary’s Catholic of Hot Springs, AR.

Dorthy was preceded in death by her husband J. Vernon McCarthy, her mother Velma Herron Moore, her father Arlie Moore, and her brother Larry Moore.

Dorthy is survived by her children Jerry Matlock (the late John E. Stuckey) of Hot Springs and Rodney Blake Matlock (Vicki) also of Hot Springs, her sister Ruby Geneviee Moore-Bond of Malvern, grandchildren Josh Williams (Loni) of Bismarck, Sara Matlock of Hot Springs, two great grandchildren Landon Williams and Bryson Williams both of Bismarck and a very special aunt Billie Ann Moore of Hot Springs.

Services will be held at St Mary’s Catholic Church on Wednesday December 18, 2024. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., the Rosary at 10:30 and the Mass will be at 11:00 a.m.Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
