Don was a retired computer operator for 47 years with the Weyerhaeuser Corporation and a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of Centerfork Baptist Church. He was always known for his compassion to family and friends. Don was a loving husband, father, “Daddy Don,” and brother.
Don was predeceased by his parents; his loving wife of 56 years, Gwendolyn “Gwen” Woolard Bardwell; brothers-in–law Richard Neal Woolard Jr., Frankie Woolard, Tommy Woolard, and Jackie Ferguson; sister-in-laws Joyce Sheffield and Donna Woolard; and nieces Carol “Cissy” Sheffield and Linda Woolard.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda Kaye and Steve Anderson; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney Keith and Tamra Bardwell; the “lights” of his life, grandsons Cameron Whittington-Keith Anderson and John Thomas Bardwell; nephew, Jim Yarbrough who grew up as a brother to Don, and his wife Dimitra; Phyllis Ferguson; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at Gross Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 2 pm with Bro. Shane Robertson officiating.
