David Grant Clement “Dave”, 89, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. He was born in Monitor, Oregon on May 30, 1933 to the late Joseph Lawrence Clement and Dorothy Clement (Shanks).
Dave graduated from Chaffey High in Ontario, CA in 1952. He joined the United States Air force and earned the rank of Staff Sargent. He would spend his time being an airplane mechanic and he served during the Korean War. Later in life Dave sold real estate in California and then went into the business of selling cars for several dealers here in Arkansas. He was so good at what he did he was awarded salesman of the month several times.
Dave was one of a kind and was well known for his kindness and always having a tooth pick handy which earned him the nick name “Pick”. He loved cars, traveling, fishing, wood carving, spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dave loved many things in life but above all he loved his family the most. He would say “I am a millionaire because of my family”.
Dave will be missed dearly and his memories will be cherished by all who loved him.
Dave is preceded in death by his parents; Son David Jeffery Clement; Brothers James Clement, Burl Clement, and Arlie Clement; and Son in Law Robert Freeman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Ruth Ann Clement; Children Debra Volpendesta (Fred), Cynthia Freeman, Tami Hilbert (Warren), Tim Clement (Michelle), and Charles Cook; Grandchildren Katrina McClane (Jason), Sarah Richardson (Brian), Dom Volpendesta (Amanda), Jon Volpendesta, Malena Ortega (Freddy), Ashley Hall (Rob), Grant Freeman (Danielle), Amber Clemons (Shelby), Christopher McCoy (Christina), and Amanda Saputo (Paul); he also leaves his precious 13 great Grandchildren to cherish his memory.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 6:00-8:00pm at Gross Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 2:00pm at Gross Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow.
