Barbara A. Crank, 88 of Maumelle, Arkansas and formerly of Hot Springs, Arkansas died Sunday December 15, 2024, at Baptist Health.
Born April 10, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri to Leland and Dorothy Martin. Barbara was a lifelong Catholic. She attended St. Mary High School in Independence, Missouri. After high school Barbara attended nursing school at St. Mary’s hospital in Kansas City and received a RN diploma. She spent her career helping and caring for others. Barbara received her bachelor’s degree in 1981 from St. Francis College. She ended her career in nursing administration at UAMS.
Barbara was active in the community with her church services, Fraulein Book Club, and an active member of Ala-non. She was an avid sports fan with her favorite teams being the St. Louis Cardinals in baseball, the Kansas City Chiefs and Arkansas Razorbacks in football. Barbara and her husband Jim loved to travel and explored the world.
Survivors include son George A. Loftus III of Springdale, AR, daughter Teresa Lehman of Cassville, MO, daughter and son-in-law Susan and Darren Moore of Maumelle, AR, stepchildren and step-in-laws Kyla Pirani on Memphis, TN, James and Cecilia Crank of Dallas, TX, Richard Love of Austin, TX, grandchildren Maura Parks, Rachel Pirani, Carrie Subhani, Abby Collins, Ashley Birge, Jordan Loftus, Andrew Loftus, Amelia Simmons, Madeline Slavens, Libby Moody, Gabby Walzel, Regan Moore and 12 great grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Leland and Dorothy, brother Richard, sister Mary Martha, husband James E Crank, stepdaughter Kim Love, granddaughter Cortney Lee and a great granddaughter.
Services are Friday December 20th at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hot Springs, AR, beginning with a Rosary at 12:30pm and a funeral to follow at 1:00pm.
