Mrs. Ann's Family, we are truly sorry for the loss of such an amazing woman.  Unfortunately we were travelling the week of her death and funeral, so we could not be there.  We are neighbors down the street for almost 20 years, and we all loved her dearly and are simply heartbroken.  We raised our two girls here on Melwood Street, and Mrs. Ann has been a staple in all of our lives.  For many years, she knocked on our door bearing sweet gifts for them on their birthdays, and she always remembered when they were.  I was always amazed at her vigorous memory.  I am still waiting for her to come strolling down the street on her daily walk, snacking on some muffins or an apple or whatever, as she was almost always enjoying a bite on her walk.  My favorite was when I happened to be outside and could catch her for our driveway talks.  We visited about her, me, our kids, her grandchildren, the past, and the present; but always at the center was her love for the Lord.  She was passionate about family, as she shared how fortunate they were to have raised their kids during a time that was outdoors, and with neighbors who came together; and she was passionate about our savior Jesus Christ.  She never hesitated to share her faith.  Mrs. Ann, as my girls have always called her, was truly one of a kind, and we are so thankful to have had a chance to know her and spend time with her.  We love her and will miss her deeply.

Ann was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. I admired her strength in sad times and her never ending faith.
She was a great Mother and a true friend to so many. 
I was her hair dresser for many, many years and looked forward to the treats she would bring me on her Friday hair appointment.Every thing she cooked was wonderful. She shared her faith with all and was an example to be admired. Condolences to all her much loved children. I am glad to call her my friend.                   Joyce Ingram

So sorry to hear of Aunt Ann’s passing. Loved her very much and I have so many fond memories of fun at her house with all the cousins and at our house in Taos. I have several of her recipes - she was a great cook!  Much love to Terri, Mona, Jeff and families. Love you so.

Ann was such a special lady. She always had a lovely smile and a kind word to say. I usually ran into her at Cooley’s Market and later at Piggly Wiggly-both on Malvern Ave.  She was the epitome of the gracious Southern lady. My sincere condolences to her Family.
