Mr. Jones was a native of Maryland. He served in the U.S. Army, and after retiring he became a Deputy Sheriff with the Vance County Sheriffs Office.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Hilda Wise.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Dianne M. Jones; his daughter, Tina R. Peoples (Michael); a granddaughter, McKayla B. Peoples; a sister, Nancy Conners (Jeff); a niece, Ashley Palmer (Chris) and their children, Logan and Cameron Palmer; a brother-in-law, Buck Moore (Joanne); and a cousin, Herbert Jones.
No services are planned. The family wishes to grieve in peace during this time.
He will be missed everyday, remembered every minute, and loved every second.
He was a friend to everyone he knew, loved by all who knew him, and missed by all he leaves behind.
