Theresia Gladys Aulbach – Lovingly known to family and friends as Gladys was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was born in her mother’s hometown of Bruckmuhl, Germany in Bavaria. Her greatest love in life were her two boys, George William Aulbach (Rachel) and Michael Donald Aulbach as well as her four grandsons, Sebastian, Adam, Isaac and Levi. As a military wife, there were many opportunities to explore different countries while stationed in Italy. She enjoyed traveling throughout Europe, including Germany, Austria, France and Holland to name a few. She also lived in Fort Carson, Colorado and then back to Fort Bragg before transitioning into civilian life. Always active in her church, Westminster Presbyterian once she settled back in Fayetteville, she greatly enjoyed her Sunday School classes and being a part of the Women’s Circle. Her fierce love of animals led her to an adventurous life as a Veterinary Technician with Animal Urgent Care in Fayetteville and at East Fayetteville Veterinary Clinic. After retiring from Vet Tech responsibilities, she successfully owned and operated Gladys’ Ark, a pet grooming company. The pinnacle of her days as an adventurer came in early 2011, when she (accompanied by her mom) went to visit with her son and his family in New Zealand for several months! She is preceded in death by her parents, William R Stalvey and Rosa B Stalvey, her brother William Stalvey, as well as her husband, Michael D Aulbach and dear companion Tommy Greer. She is survived by her sons, George (Rachel) and Michael, grandsons, Sebastian, Adam, Isaac and Levi; her three sisters, Patricia Sheffield, Katherine Childers and Debbra Duckett. Too many to name individually, but numerous nieces and nephews. She was deeply loved and will be missed every day until we are able to be together again with our Lord, Jesus Christ. May she rest in peace until that day.
