Evelene Brewer McLamb

Evelene was an amazing woman, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She enjoyed gardening and baking. She was famous for her carrot cake and had to make several at a time to make sure everyone got some. Evelene loved to talk and was the literal hub of the family. If you needed to know what was going on, Evelene was the one to ask. She was a longtime member of Freedom Baptist Church in Eastover, North Carolina.

Evelene is preceded in death by her parents, son, Paul Daniel McLamb; her parents, Grady and Mandy Brewer; her sisters, Magdalene Davis and Sally Hester; and her brothers, Bradley Brewer and Bobby Brewer.

She is survived by her husband, John Paul McLamb; her children, John Steven McLamb (Jennifer) and William Vance McLamb; her grandchildren, Michael McLamb, Christopher McLamb, Robert McLamb, and Amanda McLamb; her brothers, Lloyd Brewer and Grady Brewer (Rita); her sisters, Margie "Kitten" Smith (Larry) and Mable Pell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will accept friends for a visitation on Thursday April 27, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church in Eastover, North Carolina. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
