Shui Fun Loui of Honolulu passed away on July 11, 2020. He was born on September 7, 1930 to Koon Muy Loui and Yew King Leong in Canton, China. At the age of 18, he moved to Hawaii. He was a Chinese chef and worked at several restaurants and hotels throughout his career including Inn of the Sixth Happiness, Oceania Floating Restaurant, Hilton Hawaiian Village and Sheraton Waikiki.
Shui Fun was kind, generous and hard working. He was a devoted husband and father and was committed to providing the best for his family. He enjoyed cruises and traveling and was able to see the world with his wife after retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mona; son Willard (Kay); daughters Regina (Van) Nakashima and Denise (Paul) Leung; granddaughters Eryn and Lauryn; sisters Audrey Tong, Angela Chun, Sandy Wong, and Mei Siu Ma.
He lived a good, long life and his family feels blessed to have had such a wonderful person in their life. He will be dearly missed but their cherished memories of him will live on forever in their hearts.
