Rose “Nora” Perez Pacheco, 100, passed away at home, surrounded by family, on Sunday, July 31, 2016. Rose leaves behind her children: Robert “Bobby” & Carol Rodrigues, Pearl & Martin Rivera, Lorraine Riley (deceased), Rose “Linda” & Tony Boneza, Leroy & Nora Rodrigues, Stanley & Maxine Robley, Russell Vallies, Virginia Haworth, Herbert Pacheco, Herman (deceased) & Tessie Pacheco, Timothy & Susan Pacheco; sisters Alveria T. Infiesto and Margaret T. Grant, Mary Troche (deceased) ; Brothers, Julio Perez (deceased), George Perez (deceased), Albert Torres (deceased). She also leaves behind many grandchildren and many, many great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren.
Born in Honolulu, HI, to Marcos and Santia Perez. Rose was raised by her hanai mom, Lucy Fernandez.
Rose worked at Pearl Harbor shipyard, Dole Cannery, and was a homemaker for many of her years.
She loved to fish, crochet, and made beautiful flower leis. She loved music, watching baseball games, and even WWF wrestling!
She is fondly remembered as being a “constant presence” and for “always being there when you needed her.” She will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held September 2, 2016 at 10am followed by service at 11am; both being held at Borthwick Mortuary - Mauka Chapel.
Burial will take place at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe at 2pm.
