Thomas’s time on this earth was one marked by kindness and unwavering love for his family and friends. If you were lucky to have known him, you know he was always willing to help someone in need, cheer on other’s successes, and always enjoyed sharing a craft beer and discussing Alabama football. His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife Amy (Wharton) Ogiba and daughter Sophie (Hoover), parents, Camille and Thomas Sr. (Naples), sister Jena and Brother-in-law Johnny and their children, Juliana and JJ (Naples), his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Drew and Gloria Wharton (Huntsville), and Brother-in-law Nathan and Sister-in-law Amy and their children Kyra, and Xander
After he graduated from The University of Alabama, Thomas worked at Piggly Wiggly Hoover, Publix, and most recently Merrill Lynch in Birmingham, Alabama. In Thomas’ free time, he proudly sat on the vestry for Episcopal Church of the Ascension, supporting many church activities and spent time with family, friends, and his beloved dogs.
The Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Thomas will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, 1912 Canyon Road, Vestavia Hills, AL, with a small reception will follow.
