Thomas Allan “Bo” Wingo, Jr., 75, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on October 17, 2023. He was born in Birmingham to Thomas Allan and Elizabeth Wilson Wingo on October 16, 1948. He studied law at The University of Tulsa and worked at Family Court of Jefferson County.
Bo had a big heart and was passionate about social justice. He made friends wherever he went and loved to tell stories and make people laugh. He valued the joy and curiosity of childhood and dedicated time throughout his life to mentoring young people.
His family is grateful to know that Bo is resting at peace. He was predeceased by both of his parents. He is survived by his three children, Christin (Robert Zeien) Wingo, Caroline (Clayton) Colvin and Kerry Wingo; as well as his six grandchildren, Gus, Fox, Searcy, Eli, Hazel and Jude. He is also survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Phillips and Douglas (Edward) Forbes; and his brothers William Wingo and Michael (Leslie) Wingo.
A visitation will be held at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood on Tuesday, October 24 at 9:00 AM followed by a brief memorial service at 10:00 AM.
