Robert T Quick

QUICK, ROBERT TAYLOR Robert (Bob) T. Quick age 91, passed away on August 23, 2012. A memorial service for the family will be held at The Montevallo Veteran's Cemetery. His ashes will be scattered at sea. Mr. Quick is survived by his daughter Lynne Adams of North Carolina, son Lawrence (Deborah) Quick of Opelika, grandchildren Jonathan and Matthew Quick, Scott Adams (Natasha), great granddaughter Mila and his brother Bill Quick. Mr. Quick served in the United States Air Force where he rose to the rank of Second Lieutenant. Mr. Quick was born November 15, 1920 in Syracuse, NY. He moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida as a young man and entered the construction business with his father and brother. He was an avid flyer and sailor throughout his life. His adventurous spirit led him to St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands where he and his family lived, worked, and played for 14 years. He retired to San Jose, Costa Rica where he continued his adventures for 13 years before returning to Florida and ultimately Birmingham, Alabama to live with his son and family. He will be greatly missed but his spirit lives on. Gratitude is expressed to all the wonderful staff at St. Martins-in-the-Pines for their kindness and caring ways.
