RICHARD CLARK ANDREWS JR. Born November 7, 1987, in Hoover, passed away unexpectedly February 10, 2023. He was the son of Richard Clark Andrews and Kathleen Brislin Andrews. Clark graduated from Hoover High School, and would go on to attend Lawson State Community College and Shelton State Community College earning a certificate in graphic art design. Until his passing, he was employed by Hill’s Carpet & Floor Coverings as the store manager at the Helena location. He also had the responsibility of developing and maintaining the company website and social media tasks. Clark was an out-going, dedicated, accomplished, talented, happy person with an infectious smile who would light up a room when he entered. He had numerous loyal friends and his loss is being deeply felt by those who dearly loved and cherished him. Clark was passionate in his love for Jesus. He would take every opportunity to inject the goods news of the gospel into conversations with anyone who would listen. He was kind, warm hearted, caring, compassionate, and non-judgmental.
He is survived by his parents, his sister Katherine Ann Andrews Higgins (Andrew), his niece Helen Skylar Higgins, paternal grandparents (Ann & Joe W. Andrews Jr.) uncles, Harry Brislin Jr. (Lily), Mark Brislin (Tess), aunts, Helen Johnson (Jeff), and Dr. Sharon A. Sharp (Bobby), and uncle, D. Bruce Andrews. Clark is predeceased by his sister, Helen Ann Andrews Gilliland, and maternal grandparents (Harry and Helen Brislin).
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 17, 2023 from the hours of 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood. On Saturday, February 18, 2023 Clark's Celebration of Life service will start at 1:00pm at Church Of The Highlands – Riverchase Campus.
