Mary Clare Cade Hornak, of Mountain Brook, Alabama died peacefully at St. Martin's in the Pines. She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence DeWitt Cade and Emily Bell Ingram Cade. She was born in Bethesda, MD, and has a brother, Clarence DeWitt Cade (Jacqueline Smith) and a sister, Emily Barbara Hunt (Harold). She grew up in Hurtsboro, AL, and attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery. After college, she became a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines. She married Bob Hornak, an Army Ranger from Milwaukee, WI, at Fort Benning, GA. They had two children: Robert C C Hornak (Bentley Powell) and Emily C I Hornak. She had three amazing grandchildren, Cade Andrew Hornak, Davis Powell Hornak and Elizabeth Bentley (EB) Hornak. She will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, with her husband of nearly 30 years, at a future date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers or cards that you consider making a donation to any one of the charities listed below that have significant meaning to her family. They are:
