Gloria Andrews Brown

Gloria Andrews Brown –1926-2013, age 86, of Mobile, Alabama went to be with our Lord Sunday, August 4th, 2013. Gloria was a native of Mobile, but spent most of her life in Birmingham, Al. Her real estate career was her life’s passion. A member of the Birmingham Board of Realtors for over 50 Years, she helped many families buy homes in Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, John M. Andrews,; parents, Cyler and Minnie John Diamond,; son, John (Jack) M. Andrews, Jr. Gloria loved her family dearly and allowed them to be themselves without passing any judgement. To love Gloria, you loved her dogs as well. She was compassionate toward all and never met a stranger. A loyal and trusting friend to all who knew her. Survivors include children Deborah A. Johnson (Larry) of Hayden; and Richard Andrews of Birmingham; and Mary A. McPherson (Pat) of Burnt Corn, Al. ; granddaughter Breanne Cook (Wayne), and great grandchildren, Elizabeth Cook, Sara Caroline Cook, and Mallory Cook; and her loving dog, Precious. Gloria’s family would like to especially thank Hunter and Josh, the nurses at St. Vincents CVICU for their kindness and compassion at the time of our loss of our beloved.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Brown will be Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood with a time of visitation from 1 to 2 PM. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL
