On Wednesday, April 15, 2020, Beth Ann Curry King, 52, went to be with her Lord and Savior and reunite with loved ones who preceded her in death. These include her grandparents James T. and Lettie Higginbotham Nalls, and Mosley Olis and Ora Pearl Lynn Curry and several much-loved aunts and uncles. She passed away peacefully at her home on Lake Martin in Dadeville, AL following a long illness.
Beth was a gentle, kind and generous person who had a quick wit and fun-loving nature. She was a beautiful woman who had an equally beautiful spirit. She always brought fun to gatherings of family and friends and brightened the lives of everyone who knew her. Beth fiercely loved her family and was an amazing mom. Her children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life.
Beth was born June 10, 1968 in Birmingham and was a former resident of Birmingham, AL and St. Louis, MO.
She is survived by her devoted husband David King; her children Christopher Robert Hawk of St. Louis, Anna Katherine Hawk (Forrest) Winkle; and Mary Elizabeth “Lizzie” Hawk (Mason) VanSword; two stepchildren, Heather King (Darren) Schatz and Daniel (Rachel) King; two grandchildren Sloane Elizabeth Winkle and Grey Lee VanSword; and five step grandchildren Autumn Schatz, Dylan Schatz, and Adam, Lilly and Abigail King. She is also survived by her beloved parents the Reverend Doctor Jerry Lynn Curry and Dr. Ann Nalls Curry, her loving sister Kimberley “Kim” Ann Curry. Others include an aunt, Alverene Curry Prather, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who will cherish memories of her.
Due to current mandated Covid-19 health restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
