Barbara Weeks Edwards

Born on the 2nd day of December in 1934, Mrs. Edwards was the 9th child of Elijah W. Weeks and Esther Champion Weeks of Winfield, Alabama. She married her husband, Jerry D. Edwards, Sr. and they were the owners of Jordan Machine Company for 36 years. A member of Mountain Brook Baptist Church and the Torchbearers Class, she was also an active member of the Alea Literary Club, Salvation Army, Auxiliary League, the Legacy League at Samford University, and the Big Oak Ranch Auxiliary.

Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Edwards, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Jerry D. Edwards, Sr.; two grandchildren, Jackson Walters and Isabel Daniels; and multiple nieces and nephews and other loving family members.

Services will be held privately for the family. In lieu of customary remembrances, memorials honoring the life of Barbara may be directed to Mountain Brook Baptist Church located at 3631 Montevallo Road, Mountain Brook, Alabama 35213. Services are under the direction of Ridout’s Valley Chapel (205-879-3401) in Homewood.
