Helen was born in Dubova, Czechoslovakia in 1923. She immigrated here with her Mother and two sisters, joining her Father and brother in Ohio prior to World War II. As a young woman she moved to northern New Jersey to seek out one of the plentiful jobs available in the booming factories there. She worked for Botany Woolen Mills during the war. She met and married Francis Peltz and settled in Garfield. Through the years she worked hard to support her family. She was a wonderful cook, mastering the many dishes familiar to Eastern European families. She retired from Givaudan in 1990, moving to her beloved Florida where she happily spent the remainder of her years.
She is survived by her two children, Beverly Blake and her husband Thomas of Budd Lake, NJ and son Bruce Peltz from Tavernier, FL. She will be greatly missed by her three grandchildren, Thomas and wife Carrie of Boston, MA, Erin Johnson and husband Jason of Bellows Falls VT, and Kevin Blake residing in Morioka, Japan. She loved and enjoyed her 4 great-grandsons, Oliver, Adrian and Henry Blake and Zander Johnson.
Per Family's Request, there will be a Private Graveside Service.
Funeral Services Entrusted to Branam Funeral Home, Homestead, Florida.
