Janene was born on June 4, 1962 in Garza County, TX the daughter of Jimmy and Sue (Bowen) Cozart who preceded her in death. On June 2, 1991, she was united in marriage to Thomas Jones at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos, MO. Janene worked at Scholastic Books in Jefferson City, MO as a lead technician. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include: her husband, Thomas Jones of the home; one daughter, Kristina Marie Caldwell and with her husband, Brian of Wardsville, MO; two grandchildren, Emma and Peyton Caldwell and two brothers, James Cozart and his wife, Bene and Jeff Gordon. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Jill Schnack.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 9:30 am – 10:30 am at Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit, MO. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 10:30 am with Fr. Roberto Ike officiating. Burial will be on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
