Ida Nora Stewart

She was born on December 30, 1942 in University City, MO the daughter of William Henry and Marie Irma (Vehlewald) Shelley who preceded her in death. She was married on March 6, 1986 in Temple, TX to Benny Stewart who preceded her in death. She was a veteran of the U.S. Women’s Army Corp. Ida earned her Master’s Degree and was a registered nurse. She retired from the VA Hospital in 2001 as an Assistant Administrator.

Survivors include: two brothers, Clarence Shelley (Marjorie) and Kenneth Shelley (Margaret) and three sisters, her twin, Irene Grothoff (Rick), Velma Huesgen and Marcella Sturdevant (Bob). She was also preceded in death by one brother, William Shelley.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM at Debo Funeral Home, 10920, Old Highway 54N, Holts Summit, MO. Memorial service will be at 11:30 AM at the funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in Summit Memorial Park Cemetery in Holts Summit, MO with full military honors.
