William Vega

William was born in Savannah, Illinois to Felipe and Maria Vega on May 31st, 1953. He went to school in Chicago, Illinois. He married Miriam Soto on May 27th, 1972 in Chicago Illinois. He graduated from Tuley High School. He also attended Technical School and earn certification in precision tools. He worked as a Foreman for Jackson Memorial Hospital, Engineering Services for 26 years. He was involved in the Oasis of Love Church music ministry. He was also an Elder and Trustee of the Board.

William is preceded in death by his parents Felipe and Maria.

William is survived by his wife Miriam Vega, his sons William Jr and Michael Vega, his daughter in laws, Vanessa Vega and Joanna Aquino, his granddaughters, Gianna Grace, Isabella, and Adeline Vega, his sister Delia Vega, and his nieces Melissa Gonzalez and Jasmine Distin and their children.

Funeral services will be held 7:00pm Friday December 20th at Fred Hunters Funeral Home with Pastor Ana Vargas of Oasis of Love Church, officiating. Burial will be held on Saturday December 21st, 2024 at 11:00 am at Fred Hunters Memorial Gardens East.
