Shelton Reeves was born in Alabama on May 10th in 1943. He graduated from high school and married his sweetheart, Darlene. Together they had two children: son Brian, and daughter, Deanna. Professionally Shelton began his career while in high school with the Winn Dixie Grocery company, His journey may have begun as an entry level bag boy but his dedication and commitment over the years led him to management level. Though a fantastic manager into retirement, his greatest achievement was his family whom he was greatly proud of. In addition, over the years his family, friends and neighbors would be privy to Shelton’s other strength; his ability to grow ANYTHING from nothing. Even after his death his neighbors still enjoy the bounty of his homegrown tomatoes, mangoes, and avocados.
Shelton will fondly be remembered by family and friends and his community. His undoubtedly unselfish nature throughout his life will allow his legacy to live on.
Shelton is survived by his pride, …son Brian, and his joy, … daughter, Deanna, as well as their spouses Suzanne and Ryan, and his beloved sister Dora.
