Gene was born on October 17th, 1938. He grew up in Queens, NY and moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1977 just after he married Rita. The two blended their children from previous marriages into a large loving family.
Gene loved traveling. He and Rita preferred road trips and have driven across almost all of the US and large portions of Canada. Together they visited botanical gardens and all the tourist traps along the way. Gene’s biggest enjoyment was spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gene was proceeded in death by his Mother Dorthy Rose, his Son Donald and Stepson Thaer (Ted) Ayoub. He leaves behind Son Nick Ayoub and wife Teresa, Son Raad Ayoub and wife Lisa, Daughter Dolores and husband Guy, and Son Dirar Ayoub. He also leaves 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Calling hours are 6 to 9 pm on Friday 2/9 at St. Philips Church, 4870 Griffin Rd, Davie, FL 33314
Services will begin at 10 am Saturday 2/10 at St. Philips, followed by a graveside eulogy at Hollywood Memorial Gardens North, 3001 N 72nd Ave, Hollywood, and a farewell luncheon at the church hall at 12pm.
