David Nease

David R. “Davie” Nease, 31, of Toledo, Ohio died Thursday, May 7, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 23, 1983 to Estil Canterbury and Rickey Nease in Toledo. He graduated from Whitmer High School in 2006. Davie was a gift to his family and friends. He lifted the spirits of everyone who met him. Davie had a smile that lit up the room and he loved to laugh. He enjoyed music and was always singing and jamming, especially while watching the original Muppet Show TV series. His favorite music artist was Wynonna Judd, but he also enjoyed many different genres. Davie was very kind; his wisdom unmistakable. He was everything good in this world.

David is survived by his parents, Estil Canterbury and Rick (Lisa Burks) Nease; siblings, Jason (Mamie) Duke, Rebecca (Mike) Mariea, Cody Nease and Chelsea Nease; grandmothers, Johnie Nease and Anne (Daniel) Harvey; nieces, Zoe, Arianah, Emma, Lilly and Babygirl Mariea; nephew, Jayvan along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by grandfathers, Howard Nease and Ray Canterbury; uncles, Randy Nease and Joe Canterbury; and niece, Nevaeh Nease.

Friends and family will be received in the Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) on Monday, May 11, 2015 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM and Tuesday, May 12 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 PM.
