She was born in Holland, attended Holland High School, and was a life-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars (Post 2144). Mary worked at Parke Davis and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time up north and in Florida with family and friends, and making new friends along the way. Always involved in charity work, she was known for helping friends and neighbors.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved twin sister, Myra “Mikey” Geraci, her parents; Granddaughter Laura Klomparens; a sister Maxine “Mickie” Mesbergen, brother-in-law Lester Verekee; niece Teri Wiersema; and a nephew Ricky Verekee.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Raymond Klomparens; children, Don and Julie Klomparens of Holland, Gary and Karen Klomparens of South Carolina, and Sally and Don Kouw of Zeeland; sisters and brothers, Leona Verekee, Stevie and Greg Harter, Norman “Duke” and Marlene Wiersema, all of Holland, Joyce and Bob Adams of Washington, Ronald and Laura Wiersema of Arkansas, Betty Gail of Nevada, and Sue Lynn; grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and a special friend Mary.
A memorial service will be 11:00am Friday, February 17, 2017 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 16 from 4-7:00pm at the funeral home.
