Born in Brooklyn, NY, George lived in Belleville and Nutley, NJ before moving to Toms River with his wife. George worked as an air freight agent for United Airlines in Newark for 33 years until his retirement in 2002. He had many interests during his life, including skiing, bike riding, traveling, playing poker, and dancing at the American Legion on weekends. He was also a volunteer with Disabled Sports USA (Move United) for many years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years Betty in 2016, and by daughter Suzanne Preiser in 1996.
George is survived by daughter Sandra Preiser, daughter-in-law Kemarie Brooks, as well as grandson John (Myrian) Preiser. In addition to family, he will be missed by the many friends he made over the years.
No services are scheduled at this time and a Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
