Duane Freeman Keith

Duane Keith, 64, went home to be with his Savior after a courageous battle with cancer. He passed peacefully at home with his loving spouse in Holland, Michigan, on Thursday, April 2, 2020. He loved to golf, working at Diamond Springs in his retirement, taking walks on the Grand Haven pier and enjoying the company of his family and friends. Duane was an avid Detroit Tigers and Lions fan regardless of their success. He worked in management as an Athletic Director and also Food Service Director for most of his career. Duane loved adventures in Myrtle Beach with his wife and friends. His faith was very important to him and he attended Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church. He was an exceptional husband, dad, brother, grandpa, uncle, cousin, friend and loved by many. Duane will be greatly missed!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Pat Keith, Betty and Paul Byro, sisters Roxanne Wynne and Janet Keith, brother Randy Wynne and grandson Maverick Keith.

Duane is survived by his wife, Hope Keith, his children Duane II (Randi), Niki (Branden) Hamlett, Stephanie Keith, Stacey Keith, Samie (Ron) Tober, Jenna Chester, siblings Paul (Alexa) Byro, Lynn (Jack) Shanty, Dian (Ted) Torrey, Jane (Brad) Scaff, Christine (James) Waites, David (Crissalinda) Byro, grandchildren DJ, Dasia, Devin, Ryker, Barret, Dominic, Jaelyn, Ava, Ethan, Issac and his Camerican family Darlene and Garth Jay, numerous cousins and in-laws. All who knew and loved him will feel the loss of Duane’s presence.

A Celebration of Life will be outdoors at 1 pm, Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland, Michigan, with visitation at 12:30 prior to the service. Please visit www.lakeshorememorial.com to leave a message or memory for the Keith family.
