Corina was born September 3, 1968 in Holland, to Alfredo Cavazos and Manuela (Nancy) Cavazos. She loved spending time with family and friends, singing and dancing. Cory had a true heart of compassion and was an inspiration in how to put others' needs ahead of her own. She helped her family and friends, but was equally loving to complete strangers in need. She was very proud of who she was especially being Native American. Cory's hobbies included collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia as well super hero action figures. She graduated from West Ottawa High School in 1986. Moved to Texas to attend college and built her first home in Pflugerville, TX. She made Texas her home for several years, but she missed home Holland and moved back home in 2019 to be closer to her family. Cory was a bass player for several years at St. Francis del Sales Spanish choir. She loved all her nieces and nephews and her dogs.
Cory is survived by her mother Manuela (Nancy) Cavazos brothers, Alfred Cavazos Jr. of Zeeland, MI David and Gloria Cavazos of Richmond, MI, Robert Cavazos of Holland, MI Jerry and Missi Cavazos of Holland, MI. Sisters, Lydia and Tony Clendening of Holland, MI, Debbie Linton of Holland, MI and Melinda and Ubaldo Garcia of Lubbock, TX. Numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father Alfredo Cavazos Sr, grandparents Jesus and Uvalda Cavazos and Jose and Frances Rodriguez. Corina is loved and greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be from 9am-10am Thursday, June 24, 2021 with a funeral mass to follow at 10am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 480 North 152nd Street in Holland. Father Larry King will be officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
