Vera was born on June 19, 1925 to the late John and Bellar Martin Hensley, Sr.She was preceded in death by her siblings, Shelby, Clifford and John Dunn “J.D.” Hensley, Jr. and Lillian Crawley, Louise Brewer and Bethel Murray.
Vera is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jessie Raymond Denton; son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Wanda Lee Denton; granddaughter and her husband, Jayne Ann and Blair Hutchins;
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday and 10:30 to 11:30 on Monday at the North Chapel.
Services for Mrs. Denton will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday at the North Chapel with Chaplain Josh Dietrick officiating.
Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
