Sarah Linda Moye

Sarah Hendricks Moye, 78, of Ooltewah, Tennessee passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 at The Lantern. She grew up in Manchester, Georgia and was very involved in several activities at her high school. Sarah was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and swimming. Sarah was also a very talented pianist and artist. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Robert L. Moye, III; mother, Eunice S. Hendricks and father, Edwin Hendricks. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Robert “Bob” L. Moye; son, Robert L. “Bobby” (Melinda) Moye, II; daughter, Sheryl (Van) Moye Yates; grandchildren, Dr. Casey Moye, Jeremy Moye, Brittni (Cory Pauley) Moye, Vanessa Yates and Lisa Yates; brother, Dr. Edwin Hendricks. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 7625 Hamilton Park Dr # 22, Chattanooga, TN 37421. The family would like to thank the staff for their loving care at The Lantern at Morning Pointe-Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence on Shallowford Road. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 10:30 am to 12 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel. A funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 12 pm with Rev. Ronnie Dotson officiating at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are held by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
