Roy Allen Cox Sr.

Roy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather.

He was a founding member and Elder of Mountain Creek Church of Christ. He was instrumental in starting the Deaf Ministry.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Bobbie Cox, parents, Roy Andrew and Tommie Cox.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Allen Cox, Patty Yother, Terry (Karen) Cox, Troy (Amy) Cox, and Karen (Shannon) Harris, grandchildren, Brooke Cox, Alexis (Justin) Moore, Tyler Harris, Tanner Harris, Matthew Cox, Ashley Cox, Alison (James) Caraway, Nick Cox, Misty Smith, Scott Yother, and Johnny Yother, 7 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Richard Cox and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Roy’s Life will be held in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Friday November 11, 2022 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 pm. There will be a private graveside entombment for family only.

Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
