Paul was born in Chattanooga, grew up in the Ridgedale community and lived most of his life in Red Bank. He was a 1949 graduate of Central High School. Paul retired from Combustion Engineering with over 30 years of service where he was known as Hollywood. He was a member of White Oak United Methodist Church and the Hilander Class. Paul was an avid UT Vol football fan and a longtime season ticket holder.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Winnie Lu Sivley and Charles Russell Gaither.
Paul is survived by his wife of 57 years, Pat Mowery Gaither; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Jerrie Gaither; several cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm on Friday and 9 to 10 am on Saturday at the North Chapel.
Services for Paul will be held at 10 am on Saturday at the North Chapel with Reverend Amy Whatley officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
