Michael James Dodson, 62 of Soddy Daisy, passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2020. Mike was a graduate of Hixson High School, Class of 1976. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. He was employed with Kenco for over 20 years as a fork lift operator. Mike enjoyed collecting things, especially Star Wars and Indiana Jones memorabilia. He also was an avid Los Angeles Lakers Fan. Mike enjoyed collecting records as well.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Terry and Ava Hickey.
Left behind to cherish Mike’s memory are his wife, Cheryl Dodson, daughter, Angela (Jess) Beihoffer, grandsons, Jakob and Ryan Beihoffer, and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held privately graveside in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial contributions in Mike’s memory to be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
