Marie M. Beck

Born in Nashville, TN. she lived most of her life in Chattanooga. She graduated from a Chattanooga High School class of 1942. She retired from Provident Life and Accident Insurance Co., ( currently known as Unum) in 1989. She was a lifelong member of St Elmo United Methodist Church, women in mission and friendship Sunday school class. She helped in the nursery, secretary in her Sunday school class as well as working on many committees for as long as she was able.

Marie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald C Beck and she was one of six of brothers and sisters. brothers: Harbert ( Hobby) Myatt Jr., James K Myatt, sisters: Mildred Mink, Aileen Hope and Anna Thomas.

Survivors included one daughter, Donna Jones, granddaughter Cady (Chaz) Kuhlman, and two great grandsons, Forrest and soon to be grandson, Hutton Kuhlman and one brother in law, AC Thomas and many close nieces and nephews.

She loved reading her bible and her daily devotional. Her pride and joy was her daughter and granddaughter as they shared so many wonderful times together. Marie was such a loving, and kind mother, and grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 9, 2021, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Keith Myatt officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, Marie requested for contributions to be made to St Elmo United Methodist Church.
