Lori Burke

Lori Alice Fryar Burke, 57, of Chattanooga passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Mattie Sue Fryar and her brother, Douglas Fryar.

Lori is survived by her husband of 37 years, Michael “Mike” Burke; sister, Susan Fryar; brother-in-law, Marty Burke; and several cousins.

Lori was a graduate of Lookout Valley High School. As a young girl, she was a member of the Lookout Valley Chapter of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls; in which she was a district and state officer. She was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed supporting UTC athletics with her husband, Mike. She especially enjoyed the softball program. Her pride and joy was her pet bird, a cockatiel named Maria that she had for 16 years. Lori worked for J C Penny for 27 years then for Belk 7 years.

Interment will be 11:00 Monday morning at Chattanooga Memorial Park (Duck Pond), 501 Memorial Dr., Chattanooga, TN 37415.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Monday, January 29, 2024 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Hixson. Memorial services will follow at 7 pm.
