Born on January 7, 1942 to James Martin and Carolyn Creasman, Ms. Link passed away in her home surrounded by friends on February 5, 2015. Gail graduated from UTC in 1965 with an accounting degree and then pursued a career at UnumProvident where she met and later married Clyde Link. They were happily married for 20 years before Clyde’s untimely death. Gail is also preceeded in death by her father, James Martin Creasman, and her brother, Martin E. Creasman. She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Creasman, her nephew Matthew, and two nieces, Beth and Scarlett.
Gail was an intelligent woman who brightened the world in many ways. Her unique sense of humor brought laughter to all those who knew her, and her warm personality welcomed people into her life. Gail was known as the “Welcome Wagon” in her neighborhood, greeting each new neighbor with a bottle of wine and a loaf of homemade bread. She was an avid Tennessee Vols fan through thick and thin. Gail would like to express a special thank you to her caregivers who genuinely cared for her.
The receiving of Friends will be on Sunday, February 8 from 4-6 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel.A private graveside service will be conducted at a Later date
