Jim was retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company after many years of service. He was a member of White Oak Baptist Church and the Barnabas Sunday School Class.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Lee Fox and grandson, Justin Fox.
Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years, Katherine Bowman Fox; three children, Michael (Tenisea) Fox of Unicoi, TN, Michelle (Phil) Davoulas of Ringgold, GA, and Mitchell Fox of Red Bank, TN; his mother, Philmena Fox Tudor of Ringgold, GA; six grandchildren, David (Amanda) Fox, Aaron Fox, Jessica (Hunter) Norman, Jamie Long, April Bowman and Raven Fox, two great grandchildren and his beloved dog Miss Daisy Mae.
Services will be held 12:30 p.m. Thursday, August 4, at White Oak Baptist Church with Dr. Tony L. Wilson officiating. Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and from 11:30 until 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Jim Fox Memorial Fund at White Oak Baptist Church, 310 Memorial Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37415.
