Elizabeth Louise Woodruff finished her race well and left this life to be with the Lord on November 9, 2019. She was born on April 1, 1933 on Sand Mountain, Alabama. She worked as an administrative clerk at Quaker Oats in Chattanooga for 25 years. She was an active member of Oakwood Baptist Church, since 1957.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, James E. Woodruff; daughters, Pam Ragsdale of Chattanooga and grandchildren, Makenzie R. Benton, Hannah P. Benton, Tucker C. Benton, and Peyton J. Benton and a sister, Shirley Greene (Dale) of Spring Hill, Tennessee. Elizabeth W. Benton (BJ) of Buford, Georgia; grandsons, Blake Ragsdale of Ripley, Tennessee, Travis W. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felton L. and Sarah E. Bowman of Dalton, Georgia; brothers, Clarence Bowman (Charlotte), James Bowman, Carl Bowman (Marion); and grandson, Chase P. Benton.
The family will receive friends from 10-11, Wednesday, November 13 at Oakwood Baptist Church on Bonny Oaks Drive in Chattanooga. A celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 11:00.
