Mr. Christopher Daniel “Chris” Holcomb went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 27, 2021. Chris was a native Chattanoogan, born on October 5, 1962 to the late Thomas Jefferson Holcomb Jr. and Reba Jones Holcomb.
Chris was a telecom/IT project manager. He retired from TVA and was currently employed by CSpire. He was an avid Vols fan who loved his family and enjoyed the family RV camping trips. He was a lifelong member of Hixson First Baptist Church where he served on numerous committees and was a youth leader and teacher. He also went on numerous construction missions trips. He served his church and his Heavenly Father well.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kimberly Holcomb; sons, Thomas (Sara) Holcomb and Robert (Kailyn) Holcomb; grandchildren, Noah, Levi and Asher Holcomb; brothers, Jeff (Sheri) Holcomb and Greg (Darlene) Holcomb; sister, Carol (Danny) Heithold; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 30th from 4-8 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 31st at Hixson First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hixson First Baptist Church in Chris’s memory.
