Mrs. Betty Louise Hutton Martin

Mrs. Betty H. Martin, 89, of Hixson, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 14, 2022. Betty was born in Abingdon, VA on November 6, 1932 to the late Wiley and Nellie Hutton. She retired from EPB and worked at the Siskin Museum for many years. Betty was a member of Central Baptist Church/Abba’s House for over 50 years. She was a member of the sanctuary choir, taught Sunday School and served as a youth leader. She dedicated her life to her family and her church and was loved by all.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Martin.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Kathy Leff (David) and Constance Bonanni (Eric); her grandchildren, Rocky Evans (Rachael), Mandy Dakis (Pete), Audra Paine (Arthur), and Bo Bonanni (Lindsay); great grandchildren, Brady Evans, Eli Gentry, Kai Burns, Michael, Zander, Alex, Imoni, Jaynee, Kobe, Jeremiah, and Shaq Dakis, Maverick, Adelle, and Rocco Paine, and Brodie and Crew Bonanni; and her sister, Grace Kiser.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 16th from 4-7 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson and from 12-2 pm on Thursday, March 17th at Abba’s House. The funeral service will be at Abba’s House on Thursday at 2 pm with Pastor Ronnie Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Abba’s House in lieu of flowers.
