Gail Joan Hartley

Gail J. Hartley, age 75, of Highland; passed away on May 9, 2010. Gail enjoyed life and many activities. These included her master gardening skills, her love for animals, baking excellent pies, and her precious flowers, just to name a few. She also loved spending time with her family and was the best Birthday planner ever. She will be sadly missed. In addition, Gail served as past president at the Matteson Historical Congress of America. Beloved wife of 57 years to Lawrence C.; dear mother of Carol (Sergio) Camacho, Bruce (Carolyn) Hartley, Brett (Karen) Hartley; proud grandmother of David, Monica, Joseph, Benjamin; caring sister of Barbara McCarthy and the late Charles Benavides. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 13, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland. The visitation hours will be Wednesday from 3 – 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment at Highland Cemetery, Highland . In lieu of flowers, monetary donation in Gail’s name to the Menual High School, 301 Menual Boulevard Northeast, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87107-7727; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
