Ronald Patrick Wojcik

Ronald Patrick Wojcik, age 81, of Lansing, IL, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Ron has been the loving husband to Patricia (nee Spoor) Wojcik for 57 years; beloved father to Ronald J. (Erin) Wojcik and Gina (nee Wojcik) Stejskal; proud grandfather to Conner Stejskal, Cassidy Stejskal, Travis Wojcik and Trent Wojcik; cherished brother to Darlene (the late John) Murphy and the late Geraldine Van Soest; special uncle to Kim and Ron and Cheryl, Susan and Kevin; and devoted caretaker to his faithful companion, Coco. Ron honorably served in the United States Marine Corps as a mechanic. He then joined Allis-Chalmers in Harvey, also working as a mechanic for over 20 years. He went on to work for H&M Railroad as a heavy equipment operator until he retired in June of 2010. During his spare time, Ron could be found spending time with family and friends, sometimes on the golf course but mainly boating on Cedar Lake and eventually Lake Michigan, where he spent countless hours cruising the lake, relaxing by the pool and chatting with friends on the dock. After he retired, he enjoyed attending his grandkids' sporting events and many other fun adventures. Yearly trips were made to Naples, FL, where they enjoyed the sun, sand and many new friends. He was truly a devoted family man. Visitation will be Friday, July 19, 2024 from 2:00 pm until the time of his Funeral at 6:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322.
