Lorraine K. Majerik

Lorraine Kosinski Majerik, age 89, formerly of Highland and Schererville, Indiana passed away January 2, 2022. She is survived by her 5 children John (Betsy) Majerik, Gregory Majerik, Thomas (Joan) Majerik, Michael (Denise) Majerik and Christine Majerik. She has 4 grandchildren Rachael (Rob) McDaniel, Stephanie (Mike) Golay, Spencer Majerik and Lauren Majerik and 10 great grandchildren.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband John Majerik, her parents Harry and Mary (Duhon) Kosinski her sisters Lillian Brewer, Lois Plawecki and Linda Howard.

Born in October of 1932 in East Chicago, Indiana. She was educated at Assumption Grade School and Bishop Noll High School. In 1953 she married John Majerik and devoted her life to home making and raising her 5 children. She worked at Inland Steel as a secretary and later returned to the work force as a pharmacy technician at Ribordy’s. She was an organist at St. James Parish in Highland, Indiana.

Kuiper Funeral Home is entrusted with her final arrangements. A private family service will be held for Lorraine at St. James the Less Catholic Church, in Highland, IN.
