Janice Monaghan, age 86, of Lake Station, Indiana passed away peacefully on Friday, December 8, 2023 at her residence with her loving husband at her side.
Janice is the loving wife of fifty years to Lee Monaghan; beloved mother to Jerry Watson and Nicole (Joshua) Wilson; grandmother to eight and great-grandmother to six.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sherry Stewart.
Janice was a compassionate caregiver to her family. She and her husband were selfless foster parents for over 20 foster children in the past. She mostly loved spending time with her family, especially at holiday and togethers. She had deep faith and practiced her faith regularly. Her kindness and generosity will always be remembered.
Visitation will be Friday, December 15, 2023 from 9:00 am until the time of her funeral at 11:30 am at Kuiper Funeral Home. Burial will occur at Abraham National Cemetery.
