Shelbia Cheryl Jane McCarthy

Cheryl was born in Mercer, WV, April 19, 1939, a daughter of the late Luther Harrison Lamb and Martha Jane Chapman Lamb. She was a jack of all trades and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McCarthy the three siblings, Barbara McCarthy, Nelson Lamb and Julius Lamb. She was a faithful member of God's House of Prayer for His Glory.

Surviving are a daughter, Renee Cannon and a son, William Kiziah (Susan); seven grandchildren, Donna Jabar, Angie Titchenell, Julie Browning (Marty), Sherie Titchenell, James Cannon (Samantha), Nathan Kiziah (Kristen) and Sarah Kiziah; thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Julian by Pastor Ronnie Everhart. Memorials may be directed to God's House of Prayer for His Glory, 2606 Bedford St., High Point, NC 27263.
