Roland Thomas “Tommy” Harmon, 72, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
Tommy was born in High Point, July 12, 1949, a son of the late Roland H. Harmon and Lizzie Bell Thomas Harmon. After graduating from High Point Central High School, he began a twenty year career in the United States Air Force that took him to the Philippines, Europe and California. Tommy was curator with the Morven Estate in Charlottesville, Virginia for ten years. After moving back in High Point in 1998 to help take of his mother, he then spent several years working for the FAA in Greensboro. He enjoyed cooking, golf, camping, having lunch with friends and asking a million questions.
Tommy was preceded in death by his sister, Phillis Harmon.
Surviving are his wife, Loren Shelton Harmon; two daughters, Kirsty Harmon and her husband Dr. Brian Titus and Kimberly Hamner and her husband Scott; and a granddaughter, Addison Hamner.
