Rena Viola Pearl Smail

Rena (Knepshield) Smail, 84, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023.

Rena was born on June 23, 1938, in Leechburg, Pennsylvania to the late Stewart Knepshield and Gladys Truby Knepshield. Before retirement, Rena’s long career included several administrative positions. She served the residents of the Trumbull County, Ohio as the secretary at Mosquito Lake State Park for 24 years. She was a Big Sister through Big Brothers/Big Sisters, choir member, loving wife and mother.

Rena is preceded in death by her daughter – Tammy Bozick Bausch and husband – James.

Rena is survived by her daughters - Marjorie Smail Brandt (James) and Terri Smail Jenkins (David, Jr.), sister – Mary Knepshield Heilman (Joseph), grandsons – David J. Jenkins, III and John S. Bozick, granddaughters - Nathalie and Amber Brandt, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held in July in Pennsylvania.
