June Marlaine Tucker, 77, of High Point, NC, entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 13, 2021. She was born on September 2, 1943 in High Point, NC to the late Rupert and Margaret Foust Tucker. June was a lifelong resident of High Point and graduated from High Point Central High School in 1961.
June worked at Murrow’s Transfer for over 40 years. June loved her job and she was blessed to have a second family at Murrow’s.
June enjoyed birds and plants. She always had several bird feeders in the yard and spent time watching the birds that visited her yard. She had a green thumb and plants flourished under her care.
June adored her family and was the hub for holidays. She freely gave her love and time to her family and her influence will be felt for generations to come. She helped raise her niece and nephews and was very active in the lives of her great nephews.
In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her sisters, Ronda Tucker and Jane Wood.
June is survived by her niece and nephews Ashley Tart, Sonny Glenn, Allen Wood, Kenny Wood, and Tim Wood; great-nieces and great-nephews Taylor Edwards, Colin Wood, Indigo Glenn, Guinivere Glenn, Rosabell Glenn, and Marlon Glenn, Atticus Wood, Maddox Wood and Zeke Wood; great-great-niece Emory Edwards.
A celebration of life service will be held, Thursday, May 20th at Burton Street Missionary Methodist Church at 6:00 pm.
